Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes for a glimpse at the teamwork, creativity, and dedication that go into making every Nude Art LA experience unforgettable.
Planning and Vision
It all starts weeks (sometimes months) before the doors open. Our team meets to review the last event, gather feedback, and brainstorm ways to make the next show even better. We consider everything from the venue layout and artist lineup to the flow of performances and the audience experience.
We’re always on the lookout for new talent—painters, photographers, sculptors, performers, and models who share our vision for body-positive, non-sexualized artistic celebration. Our curation process is rooted in respect, diversity, and artistic integrity.
Setting the Stage
As event day approaches, the energy ramps up. Staff and volunteers arrive early to transform the venue:
- Artworks are carefully hung to create an immersive gallery experience.
- Lighting is adjusted to flatter both the art and the live performances.
- Seating is arranged to give everyone a great view of the stage and sketching area.
- The official Nude Art LA banner is hung above the entrance, welcoming guests into our creative world.
Welcoming Artists, Models, and Performers
On the day of the event, artists arrive to set up their work and chat with staff about placement, lighting, and security. Performers rehearse on stage, fine-tuning their routines and coordinating with sound and lighting techs. Models for the live figure sketching sessions are briefed on poses, timing, and how to interact with the audience.
Our goal is to make sure every participant feels supported, valued, and inspired—because when our artists, models, and performers shine, so does the whole event.
Attention to Detail
What makes Nude Art LA events truly memorable is the attention to detail:
- We provide art supplies for sketching sessions, so everyone can join in.
- Our staff is always present to answer questions, manage crowd flow, and ensure respectful behavior.
- Security personnel are on hand at larger events to keep things running smoothly, though our audience is usually wonderfully respectful and engaged.
Every element—from the playlist to the placement of the last sculpture—is chosen to create a welcoming, inspiring space where creativity can flourish.
