Nude Art LA returns to a Los Angeles stage, and we are casting it now. Five groups build this show: the artists whose work fills the walls, the models who hold the room, the performers who own the stage between sketch sessions, the volunteers who help keep things moving smoothly throughout the night, and the sponsors. Applications for all five open today.
Artists should read the first section closely. We changed how applying works.
Artists: your storefront is your application
The old process asked for you to upload a portfolio that we had to then use to set up an online store. Often, artists would sell works before the event and ask to change pieces, or want to add pieces at the 11th hour. Moreover, every new show meant assembling the same packet again.
Your store does that job now.
Step one: open a vendor store on The Collection. The Collection is our marketplace at nudeart.store. Opening a store costs nothing. List at least three works with photographs and prices and you become eligible to exhibit. You set every price yourself. We take 20% on sales, and you choose whether to absorb that or build it into your numbers.
Step two: apply to the show. Once your store is approved, submit a show application. The fee is $35. Our curators pull directly from The Collection when they program the night, so a well-built store is the strongest application you can send.
One store, one application, every show we run: Nude Art LA, Nude Art Las Vegas, Nude Art Portland when it opens, and Aristocratix. Your work also stays online and for sale between events, so collectors can find you year round.
Models
We cast males, females, and trans models for figure drawing, body paint canvases, shibari, interactive exhibits, and possibly other projects that our artists and performers may need your help with. These are paid positions.
To apply, use the form linked below and upload or link photos and/or video of yourself, and tell us about your experience. Applicants must be 18 or older and sign a likeness release covering event promotion.
Performers
The main stage runs between figure-sketch sessions all night, and we will have additional performance areas spread throughout the space. We are booking burlesque, dance, aerial and acrobatics, body painting, shibari, and acts that fit none of those categories. Your imagination (and an understanding that while these performances should focus on the human form, they should not be overtly sexual in nature) are the only limits. These are paid positions.
Send video of your act, describe it, and list your technical requirements. Applicants must be 18 or older and sign a media release.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our live events. You’ll be helping with things like setting up and tearing down the event space, taking tickets, answering questions, directing guests around the event space, and more. In exchange, you get free admission to the event (obviously), a gift bag of swag from the show, and dinner on us.
Sponsors
Sponsors are so critical to helping make an art event like Nude Art LA a possibility. Ticket sales cover the room. Sponsorship is what lets us pay artists and performers properly, build the exhibition out, and keep the door price within reach of the people we want to experience this event.
Sponsors get woven into the evening itself: named from the stage at both seatings, present at the show, and included in the material guests take home. Our audience skews affluent and art-forward, they arrive for work they cannot see anywhere else, and they stay on their feet for hours moving between the walls, the drawing sessions, the body paint, and the performances. Nobody walks past a booth once and forgets it. We work with brands whose values line up with ours: artistry, body positivity, and community.
There are four ways in:
- Presenting Sponsor. The evening carries your name. Top billing on all event material, stage acknowledgement at both seatings, prominent on-site presence, and first refusal on the next show.
- Featured Partner. Logo placement across event collateral and the website, an activation space in the room, a stage mention, and guest passes for your team and clients.
- In-Kind Partner. Beverage, print, hospitality, transport, or production support, in exchange for credited placement and presence at the event.
- Custom. Product launches, private VIP moments on the mezzanine, commissioned work, or cross-promotion with our sister shows in Las Vegas and Portland. Tell us the goal and we will build to it.
Tell us about your brand and what you want out of the night, and we will come back with options and numbers built around it.
What happens next
We review applications as they arrive. So the sooner you submit your application, the longer it sits in front of the people programming the night and the more likely it is to be accepted early.
We announce the date and venue once the contract is signed. Get your application in before then, because casting starts the moment we lock it.
